Saturday, May 12, 2007
You gotta admire the linguistic versatility of this pretty Korean singer.
Versatile South Korean star Jang Nara will perform all her songs in Chinese at her concert at the Beijing Exhibition Theater on June 8 and 9.
Famous Chinese crosstalk artist Guo Degang will also make a surprise guest appearance.
Jang Nara is an ambassador for the Sino-South Korean Year of Exchange. Her concert is one of the many activities being held as part of the year.
She will be the first South Korean singer to hold a concert where all the songs are performed in Chinese.
Jang Nara has already released two Chinese albums, so she won't have any problems finding appropriate material for her concert. She also plans to sing Chinese classics like "Sweet Smiles" to please her audience.
The organizer has arranged Chinese traditional opera and South Korean folk dance performances to add more cultural elements to the concert.
Jang Nara's rumored boyfriend, Taiwan actor and singer Peter Ho, is also expected to show up at the concert.
