'Marimar' Behind The Scenes

A fangirl/fanboy who insists on staying anonymous surprised me with these Marimar behind-the-scenes pictures. If you're an avid follower of this soap opera, you'll probably recognize the episodes where these pictures were taken. Marian Rivera (above) smiles with a fan.
Nadine Samonte (above) holds the baby that's supposedly Marimar's kid, while Sergio (Dingdong Dantes) smiles to the camera while secretly scratching his itchy babymaker, while below is Marian Rivera on the deck of the Santibanez yacht (I think).
Above, Marimar director Joyce Bernal, who is clearly in need of some hot, passionate relationship in her life right now (but alas, doesn't! so if any of you guys who's into chicks who look like skinny dudes, hit on Joyce and make her happy, will ya!), is seen giving directions to the car's occupants Bing Loyzaga and Marian Rivera and an unnamed driver dude. Guess which episode this is?
Above and the two remaining shots below show Christine Reyes in that episode in which she almost hit Marimar with her car. Now I have to say this: whoever's in charge of trying to make Christine look like an elegant socialite rich girl was probably thinking of beautiful transsexual she-males with a deep fashion insecurity. Not only did Christine looked like she's trying hard to seem "filthy rich with impeccable taste," she also had that outrageous hairdo throughout her time in the soap. It would have been a lot better of they just made her some sort of Lady Godiva, prancing on the screen on a horse and completely naked. I hear very rich girls from Macau actually do that. It would have been so fucking authentic.

Scanned images of Marian Rivera's appearance in the October 2007 issue of Manual magazine. Yeah, I know, almost quite useless, aren't they? It's just like Marian in her everyday clothing. I think I remember the photographer or art director being interviewed about this shoot and saying, "You can make something sexy without nudity." Marian Rivera, my current personal goddess, recently posed for Manual magazine. She's the cover girl for October 2007. As they say, strike furiously while the iron is hot. Which she seems to have taken to heart, especially when she said near the end of the interview that "there will be more." I don't know, but hearing her say things like that makes me feel so good.
And hey, this interview also made me realize the dorky RJ Ledesma's the editor-in-chief of Manual. Incredible. funny guy, though.

Thanks a lot to Ryane for the heads up and the much-needed Marian Rivera-related tip. Because tonight, in the Philippines, people are glued to their teevees watching the local version of Thalia's Marimar. I saw the first episode already, and I feel weird about the changes done to the local version.
The video above is the first episode of Thalia's version of Marimar, which began by immediately showing Thalia's heavenly bod. Which is, of course, my sole concern: sure, it's soap opera, but i only want to ogle Marian Rivera as much as possible. But the local version seems to be stretching Marimar's whole childhood thing. The first episode ended with a promise of more childhood scenes. Darn. Show me the pussy, people, and I want it now. Can't we see Marian already?

I can't say I'm totally comfortable with Marian Rivera playing the Filipino version of that old and famous Mexican soap Marimar (remember Thalia?). For one thing, Marian looks too virginal, too nice for the role; I'd have chosen somebody with more "sex" in her face. Anyway, see the video below, and you'll just feel happy for her despite whatever misgivings you may have. It also shows how unbelievably pretty Marian is.

Apparently, model and new actress Marian Rivera, she of the angelic face, studied in that hillbilly school called De La Salle in Dasmarinas, Cavite somewhere in the Philippines. But correct me if I'm wrong because I'm truly quick at jumping to conclusion. But they say these are her college-era photos, which clearly show Marian before she picked up some classy flair.
Marian Rivera now. Is she pregnant or something? No matter, I'm still gonna do her.
